New Optisys Service Policy Changes

GLOBALNET™ and OptiDriver 2000 Service Plan Changes
 

Glendale, Arizona:  December 1999 -- Optisys, Inc, the definitive pioneer of Network Attached Storage (NAS) software and hardware solutions announced today it is modifying the warranty and service plans for the GLOBALNET™ and OptiDriver 2000 products.

GLOBALNET™ users currently in warranty change to 90 days on all new GLOBALNET™ purchases after January 1, 2000.  After 90 days a valid OPTISYS service agreement will be required.  For users purchasing GLOBALNET™ units before January 1, 2000; units are serviced in standard queue for 90 days.  After 90 days a valid OPTISYS service agreement or credit card billing information for $500.00 per incident fee on non-warranty issues is required unless a service agreement is in force.   GLOBALNET™ users currently out of warranty requesting service requires credit card billing information for $500.00 per incident fee.   Per incident fee does not cover software upgrades or hardware repair or replacement.  Other options are Out of Warranty Optisys GLOBALNET™ Courier Exchange Agreements or GLOBALNET™ End User Upgrade.

OptiDriver 2000 Software users currently in warranty change to 90 days on all new OptiDriver 2000 software purchases after January 1, 2000.  After 90 days an OPTISYS service agreement will be required. Customers will be serviced in standard queue for 90 days.  After 90 days credit card or billing information is required unless a current OPTISYS service agreement is in force.  OptiDriver 2000 Software users currently out of warranty must purchase an OPTISYS software service agreement to receive any service.
