Our History
Optisys was founded in 2016 by three engineers who shared a conviction that additive manufacturing was more than a niche research tool—it was a fundamentally better way to design and build flight-ready RF systems. From the beginning, the team believed that metal additive manufacturing could unlock entirely new antenna architectures, enabling lighter weight, tighter integration, and higher RF performance than traditional subtractive methods.
Early signals...
That belief was validated quickly. Within its first year, Optisys signed its first commercial contract, acquired its first metal additive manufacturing machine, and broke even on that investment in just 12 months—an early signal that additive manufacturing could succeed not only technically, but commercially as well.
